NROS QUICK START GUIDE -------------------------- This document is designed as a quick quide to get you up and running on the NROS. More detailed information and the latest files can be found on the NROS webpage: http://www.nros.com 1) Make sure you have the both the NROS files and the TEN client installed on your machine. You will also need a valid credit card to register for the TEN service if you are not already a member. Visit TEN's webpage for their latest billing plans: http://www.ten.net 2) Run TEN from the start menu. If you do not have a TEN ID, you will be prompted to create one. Log onto the TEN service using your preferred name and password. Once you have logged into the system, choose "NASCAR Racing Online Series" from the TEN online menu. You will be taken to the NROS arena selection area. 3) Join an arena in which to race. The best arena for your connection strength and speed will always be listed at the top of the arena list; however, you may join any arena. 4) Choose Races from the menu on the left had side. Click on a race listed in the top window to join. The first time you try to join a race, you will have to choose the enabler for TEN to launch. Select the appropriate enabler from your NROS installation directory (by default this will be 'C:\SIERRA\NROS'). 3Dfx users should select 'NROS3DFX.EXE', Rendition users should select 'NROSREND.EXE', all others should select 'NROS.EXE'. You can change this selection later from the 'File -> Preferences -> Games" drop down menu. 5) The races available in any particular arena are listed at the top of your TEN program box. Races that are not marked with a red "no" symbol are open for you to join. 6) To end a race at any time, hit the Escape key from inside the car’s cockpit, and then choose "End Race" from the bottom navigation bar. Once you have returned to TEN’s Windows 95 screen, select "Leave Race". III.
